Why this momma LOVES the school year!

Fresh start. Routine. New clothes. New haircuts. Early mornings. Bedtime. Homework. New friends. Carpool. School lunches. Quiet house. Smaller electric bill. Less groceries to buy and consume.   ......Just to name a few of my favorite things about why I love the school year. Jaxon started Kindergarten. He is so happy to be back in school and he was able to reunite with 3 friends from Pre-K that are in his class this year. He loves his teacher. He loves taking his lunch. He loves his new backpack. And he still absolutely loves recess time! Hes growing and learning O so fast. And, like all moms, I do wish he would stay little forever. I am proud of the little boy he is and I know he will grow up to be a fine young man. Jessie. Well, shes upstairs at school. She has 2 teachers. So that means switching classes halfway thru the day and that has stressed her out. She loves school, but counts the hours down to the final bell of the day. Wrapping up summer..

17 days and school will start. 16 more mornings where we can sleep in. 16 more nights of staying up late. 17 more days of the kids eating every thing in the house. I will be glad to be back on a routine. I think the girls will be glad for the early mornings, although Jessie loves waking up before 7 am during the summer, getting her out of bed at 6:45 am during the school year is like pulling teeth! I will be glad to have the house quiet again. My grocery trips alone and quiet and no need for all the extra crap they think they need to get by on the long hot days. We had a good summer. A relaxing summer. Concerts in the park. Friends birthday parties. Family Reunion. BBQs with family. A wonderful 4th of July. A week at the lake. Jill and I finally finished the 10 seasons of Friends. I finished a book! We had long lazy days at the pool. But I am glad its almost over. Jill is highly anticipating seeing all her friends, where as Jessie is already counting down the days to next summer. Jax
