..In hopes that St Nicholas soon will be there..

My house is very quiet right now as I am getting ready for Christmas Eve. Since this is Jaxons first (real) Christmas, I am very anxious to open gifts with him tonight! He slept through gift opening last year. We are having a white Christmas this year. We only got maybe 2-3 inches of snow, but with all the wind blowing we have very tall snow drifts. The wind is blowing 50+mph right now and doesn't seem to want to let up. I just hope Santa makes it here this year with all the extra turbulence ! To everyone... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Steps in making a homemade Christmas card...

Step 1: Make sure your child is ready for this adventure and is OK with you being out of reach...even for just a second. Step 2: You must have patience while daddy checks angels and lighting and what all needs to be in the picture. Do not get annoyed it only makes things difficult for you. Step 3: Although your child is only 1, he is still a daredevil. And wants to know how to fly off the table. Be ready and waiting for this. Or get padded floors...that could be another option. Step 4: Stay focused. And listen to your child's needs as well. He really wanted to tell us how we should be doing things. But neither dad or I speak 1 yr old so he had to play by our rules on this one. Step 5: Picture perfect! This was take 29! I think next year I will get Christmas card pictures done by a professional so I can breath a little easier if he has to sit on a table! (hehehee) Merry Christmas!!

First visit with Santa

Jaxons first visit with Santa went great. He walked right up to him like he knew who he was. So far this child has never met a stranger. I was glad the Santa this year had a real beard. For some reason I had an image of Jaxon pulling his beard down and ruining it for the other kids in line! But it went well for the first visit and I am looking forward to many more pictures with Santa!!

Dancing the day away...

Jaxon has a lot of toys. He also received a lot of toys for his birthday last weekend. Jessie even has a lot of toys as well. I mean, I have a mini Toys R Us in this house! I put my Christmas decorations out earlier this week and all they want to play with...is a box. Hes not really digging the box on his head here. So he took it off and just gave it back to Jessie to wear. And here they are dancing together. Her robot dance. Hes a natural at dancing. I mean he is dancing all the time! So is she though. I should just get rid of all the toys and make the living room into a dance hall!

Siblings...

Josh has 3 girls. 2 of which live in Oklahoma. They both got to visit the weekend of Thanksgiving and also got to be here for Jaxons 1st birthday party. They all had a lot of fun!! Jillian is 8. Jenny is 12 This is all of them at Jaxons party. Checking out all his new toys with him. I'm glad they came to visit and they are all getting to know each other. It was a busy weekend. But it was a great weekend!

They have come a long way...

These little feet have seen a lot this past year. They have been cold. They have been warm. They stick out of the covers at night. They wear socks. They wear shoes. They have been kissed at least a million and one times. They have walked. They have been carried. They have been sucked on. The toes curl. The feet kick. They are one. They have a lot more path to travel.
