Hello 2016

WHAAAA??!

its 2016 already and tomorrow is March. wtf?

sometimes i am pretty badass. well 99.9% of the time i am. then there is that 1% that knocks the wind out of me every few years. every 4 years to be exact i get sick. and i don't mean a sniffle here and there, i mean i get siiiiick!
fortunately i got sick both times in february while the hubby was home. bronchitis knocked me down for about 4 days then 2 weeks later pneumonia knocked me out for another 4-5 days. Goodness right?
yea, goodness. i am glad he was home both times so i could get some much needed rest and stay bubbled up away from the kids so they didn't catch it. nothing worse than mom being sick! am i right, moms?
cause lets face it....we are ALL busy. We all work hard, we all raise kids, we all have dinner to get on the table and errands to run, and laundry to do, church, and friends to stay in touch with, and work, and homework to lend a hand with, pets to feed, a husband to love, kids to raise, bills to pay.
we are ALL busy!
hell i am so busy i logged on to blog in october 2015 with the intentions to do this at least 3 times a month and tomorrow is march. march 2016! did i mention that already?! see i am so busy i dont even have time to capitilize my words and probably use correct punctuation. yea its bothering me too, but what can i say? I AM BUSY! just like you are!
today i have time to sit and catch up on the blogs. yes blogS. i have 3 to keep up with. i am working from home today since the car is in the body shop. (even badass moms get into fender benders)

lets kick off march and hope it flies by as quick as the first part of the year has. i am ready for summer and lazy days by the pool. i am ready for summer camps, concerts in the park, hanging out with friends at the creek and leaving the busy school year behind for a few months. just for a few months as we all do like routine around here.

happy monday!

I do it

Since he could talk he has had a certain Independence about him. "I do it". I loved it when his little voice would say those words. Even though he sometimes had no clue what he was doing. Or he wanted to lend a helping hand with me, I have always admired that he was a hands on learner .     Now that he is 4 he really doesn't need much help getting dressed. I still stay present just in case he needs my help. "I do it all by myself" are the words he says now. It makes me a little sad that he doesn't need me for everything now.     "I'm hungry" are words I hear alot from him. So I tell him find something to eat and I will help you make it. I let him put the snack ideas together. He can open the fridge. He can open the pantry. So he can grab whatever his little heart desires.     Here he is with minimal help from me making a peanut butter sandwich. "Watch me mom" are the words I hear when he does something a...

He's making a list....

The BIG TOY BOOKS arrived in the newspaper a few weeks ago. Let's just say he knows how to catalog shop! He knew what pages to go to that had toys for him. Anything Spiderman is topping his list right now. He will sit and watch the Spiderman movie and not move. Not the cartoon either...the movie with Toby Maguire. He would come across the pages that had the barbies and doll houses and anything pink and point at them and yell "JESSIE!!" So I am glad he knows what she likes because she changes her mind every 5 minutes. We will be shopping soon and from the very worn out toy book he has carried with him for the past few weeks now. He points at 3 things every time he opens the book from Wal-Mart...so i know he means business. And the 50" flat screen that he points at and yells "DAAAADDDY" well sorry for your luck son.
