Family Vacation 2013

This was the inside of the cabin. Pretty roomy for a family of 5!

Me and Josh! On a vacation! We haven't seen one of those since July 2009!

The great and wonderful children on our way to our hike. I think we are the only family that hikes in flip flops!

 Enjoying the scenery!

The kiddos again. They love to climb stuff and have NO fear of heights!

Enjoying his down time. Even though he gets 2 weeks off after working 2 weeks, I still put him to work when he's home. I'm glad he was able to take us on such a great vacation and even more so that we were able to create the memories we did.

Part of the lake. One of the days we were there we rented a Pontoon. And let me be the first to say....IT WAS A BLAST!

Daddy and Jaxon. Father and son time at its finest!

The girls. Who knew exactly what to do when it was time to kick back and have a great time!

The tube we had to buy in order to go tubing! They didn't rent them out so we are stuck with it. All the more reason to keep going to the lake. We don't have any water around where we live.

The campfire. The much anticipated fire that would NOT stay lit. We tried to make smores, but the wood was too damp from previous rains, plus its very humid there!

And the fire was gone and this little boy had to use the bathroom apparently!

Until next time. The sounds of the summer that this place holds in our hearts. We will enjoy going every summer from here on out. It was by far the most relaxing place this momma needed to just breath and get away from home and daily routines and chores and bills and the telephone!

WE GOT MARRIED!!

My dear-to-my-heart little sister got married. September 4, 2012. To the man she met 6 years ago to the date. Love stories like that make me smile. And all though she was hesitant 6 years ago when i twisted her arm enough and forced her to set up a MySpace, in no time she met her husband. So I like to secretly think I had a hand in all this. After all the whole MySpace thing was my idea ;) Tim and Jennifer,          I am proud of the two of you. You are both very dear to my heart and always will be. Jennifer, you already know that you are the best little sister this girl could ask for. Tim, I have liked you from day one. And over the years I have grown to love you. You are the best person in the world for my sister. (after all she was able to avoid alot of crazies online after y'all met) HA HA!! I wish you guys many many many years of happiness! You guys are amazing together. And the best aunt and uncle to Jaxon. Love always!! Jessica

All is well...and everyone is home...

Jynx came home today. He has a cast over his pins. They ended up finding more wounds that needed stitches so he has 3 different sets of stitches on his leg and his paw is still really swollen. He is on 3 different pain meds as well. And we are still baffled as to what happened. Josh went to let him and the other dog out and came in for maybe 20 minutes...went back outside and Jynx was hurt. We have searched the backyard and garage but can not figure out what has happened. So who knows. Jynx isn't saying either! It was bad enough to have caused some small places to stitch and 6 pins worth. Its really sad. His little throat is dry from where they had the tube in his throat so he cant really whimper. And the other bad thing is, is we were going to take him to get groomed and now we have to wait 8 weeks! O well. I'm really glad that he is ok and it wasn't AS bad as it could have been and hes home now. Thank goodness for puppy insurance!!!!

Back to reality....

Our trip to Austin was a blast! I have decided that if we are ever able to return there, that I need to be in alot better shape!!! I was soooo tired and sore...from walking mind you!! I would lose 10lbs from all the walking and sweating and then gain 15 every time I ate!! There was never a dull moment on this little vacation of ours...we made the most of everyday. We were glad to return home to our chunky monkey though!! And glad to announce that he has stopped sucking his thumb since he has left aunt Jennifer's!! I wish could have taken a picture of how tired she looked when we got home, because I knew this would kick her tail!! But her watching them all for us (Jaxon plus the cat and dog) was greatly appreciated and I hope nothing scared her away!! Pictures and great stories behind them coming soon....probably this Sunday because we get the computer Saturday but we are going to the local Harley Davidson Party and I won't really want to mess with the computer after picking it...
