3 months later....

....I will blog. I finally made time to sit at my computer and do something other than FB, Pintrest, and bank. I logged on and realized its been almost 3 months since I have updated. SHEESH!..

As I am dusting the cob webs off the blog, it made me realize that life is fast. No matter how slow we may be, its fast!
The school year ended great! Everyone is well on their way to the next grade. Which another reminder as I type I need to start school supply shopping. I like doing it early and by myself. No extras get thrown in and I can beat the last minute crowd.
My sister is pregnant with her first child! I am super happy and ready to meet the newest addition to the family. She wants a girl. I think its a boy. But we find out on the 26th at their gender reveal party.
My husband has hardly been home this summer. He is working a lot and we have had to post pone vacation once, but we will be heading out for a 6 day vacay on the 28! And I cant wait. I just want to be out of the house on something other than a grocery trip!
My 4 year old has a blue Mohawk! That he patiently waited all school year for! People love and so does he.
We spend a lot of time at the pool. Not as much as the kids would like. But enough time. Its been hot and in the triple digits one week and in the cool upper 70s and lower 80s one week. Weird weather!
We had a great 4th of July and I hardly took any pics of that.
I am getting more brave with my camera and I actually took the kids out around town and we did some pics and had great props and daddy will love that I didn't spend 220.00 on photos that I can clearly do myself ( now that I have the right editing tools :) He will have a great birthday celebration when he gets home in 10 days! his bday was yesterday, but he was working.
I am at a halt on planning the gender reveal party for my sis and her husband. Invites are out. Décor will be bought next week and then all I will need to do is food and party and get ready to shop for babay!!!
I am going to get off here and start on the kids picture project for daddy. I have never applied pics to metal and I need to get busy so I have enough time in case I have a hiccup in the project!
HAPPY SUNDAY!!

The torture. The madness

I try. I try to make food last. I try to stick to a grocery budget and sometimes ( more than I'd like) I fail. I'm slowly getting better at buying the important stuff in bulk. Our main meats. Beef. Chicken. Pork. I can stretch that out for months. The big things of Sunny D last about 3 weeks....etc you get the idea. The worst thing I could possibly do is go to Sams on a Saturday afternoon. WHY?? WHY do I do that to myself? It's not like I'm that busy Monday thru Friday! O well lesson learned. When I do go back it will be on a Tuesday morning....a few months from now!

New School Year

The new year is upon us all. The kids and I are glad to have our routines and schedules back in full swing. I don't think the transition phased dad one bit :) I have had a hard time adjusting to my time at home. Jaxon is going all day now and that leaves me with 7 hours of uninterrupted time. Time to get things done for my photography business. Time to clean the house. Time to organize closets and do the things that I neglected over the summer. I feel lost with out him in the afternoons. I just hope he's missing me as well :) Jessie wasn't as excited to go back to school. In her world summer would last until Christmas and Christmas break would end in May. But it is a bittersweet year for her. She's the big 5th grader and it's her last year at the school she has known since the 1st grade. A lot of friends will be going separate ways come next year when they enter Middle School. She will be taking on the violin this year. She is maturing and grow...

I do it

Since he could talk he has had a certain Independence about him. "I do it". I loved it when his little voice would say those words. Even though he sometimes had no clue what he was doing. Or he wanted to lend a helping hand with me, I have always admired that he was a hands on learner .     Now that he is 4 he really doesn't need much help getting dressed. I still stay present just in case he needs my help. "I do it all by myself" are the words he says now. It makes me a little sad that he doesn't need me for everything now.     "I'm hungry" are words I hear alot from him. So I tell him find something to eat and I will help you make it. I let him put the snack ideas together. He can open the fridge. He can open the pantry. So he can grab whatever his little heart desires.     Here he is with minimal help from me making a peanut butter sandwich. "Watch me mom" are the words I hear when he does something a...
