Since he could talk he has had a certain Independence about him. "I do it". I loved it when his little voice would say those words. Even though he sometimes had no clue what he was doing. Or he wanted to lend a helping hand with me, I have always admired that he was a hands on learner . Now that he is 4 he really doesn't need much help getting dressed. I still stay present just in case he needs my help. "I do it all by myself" are the words he says now. It makes me a little sad that he doesn't need me for everything now. We woke up one day last week to a lot of snow. I called into work and they cancelled school. So me and the kids made the best of it. Jaxon woke up at 4:15am to cuddle with me on the couch. I thought he was fast asleep when i got up to take his picture...only to find he was teasing with mom!
I built him a fort. He put all of his stuffed animals and some of his favorite toys in there. Along with a drink and snack :)
Then we bundled up and played in the snow!! He loved it!! Every single inch of the yard was touched by him and Jill.
This was a lot better than being at school she said. I agreed. We only played for a short time since the temp was -28 degrees. We came in and drank some hot cocoa. The weather this week was in the 70's and all to most of the snow has melted. Like it didn't even snow. Came and went.
