It's in the game

My uncle subscribes to ESPN magazine but doesn't read them. So they get sent over to my house, mainly to be thrown away but Josh will thumb thru it and toss it or Jaxon will get ahold of it and read the whole magazine. Or look at the pictures...either way...

He has developed a love for football this year. Hes watched it since he was born so there for I think its just a natural thing for him to love. Plus we would really like to see him play the sport one day. Even if all he ever did was play a season of Pee-Wee football or went pro...we would love it.

I love the fact that he acts as if he knows what all the words in the magazine say. And then he will tell me and daddy all about it. His personality and curiosity has bloomed even more just in the last month. Everyday is a new learning adventure with him and I couldn't be happier.

Back to reality....

Our trip to Austin was a blast! I have decided that if we are ever able to return there, that I need to be in alot better shape!!! I was soooo tired and sore...from walking mind you!! I would lose 10lbs from all the walking and sweating and then gain 15 every time I ate!! There was never a dull moment on this little vacation of ours...we made the most of everyday. We were glad to return home to our chunky monkey though!! And glad to announce that he has stopped sucking his thumb since he has left aunt Jennifer's!! I wish could have taken a picture of how tired she looked when we got home, because I knew this would kick her tail!! But her watching them all for us (Jaxon plus the cat and dog) was greatly appreciated and I hope nothing scared her away!! Pictures and great stories behind them coming soon....probably this Sunday because we get the computer Saturday but we are going to the local Harley Davidson Party and I won't really want to mess with the computer after picking it...

a million and one....

i have always had an interest in photography. i have always wanted to carry a camera with me every where i go. And most of the time i think i will just remember what my eyes see. Forever. And i don't always remember. I want to capture things, in case one day, my son wants to see the world the way i saw the world. the way i saw him growing up. that is really all i have done is capture him over the years. but i have always wanted to turn that hobby into a part time job. a job that allows me to help families capture what they cant. moms aren't always in the pictures. so i want to make it my job and have moms in the pictures with their families.  I started my business in October of 2014 and since then I have captured a wedding, beautiful children, families, an engagement session and of course the countless pictures of my kids. we took Jill's 8th grade pics to a whole new level this year. and i cant wait to capture her high school years. i have 2 more weddings, an engagement...

Im going to take a break!

This potty training business is for the birds! "He will go when he is ready" is all people keep telling me. My response ..."He does go when hes ready...in his diaper!!" Maybe if we just take a break and not rush it, it will all fall together. Like him sleeping without being bundled, going to nap or bed without a bottle, feeding himself his food with his own silverware. All the other milestones in between that he did when ..."he was ready" Going to the potty is a big deal for kids. This little adventure has been stressful on him. Not just me and Josh. I mean...hes constantly having to take off his pants and diaper, either sit on the little potty or put his seat on the big potty, sit down and get comfortable, make sure everything is aiming where it needs to be.....for nothing! He laughs the whole time he is on there. Except if the seat is really cold. That doesn't make him laugh at all. So for now we are on a break from going to the bathroom all at on...
